[Construction Case] Road Bridge Pier Disaster Recovery Work "Conback Method"

It is possible to use it for disaster recovery work in a small site! Examples of on-site cast-in-place stabilization block construction method.

We would like to introduce a case study of the "Conback Method" used for the restoration work of road bridge piers after a disaster. In this site, there is a road bridge located above the existing railway tracks, and during heavy rainfall, the foundation of the road bridge pier near the river was eroded. Considering the impact on the railway tracks, it was necessary to urgently implement disaster recovery work. There was a challenge due to the narrow access for transporting materials and equipment, making it difficult to bring in resources using conventional methods. To address this issue, we proposed the use of the on-site cast box-type stabilization block method, which was adopted. [Case Overview] ■ Adopted Method: On-site cast box-type stabilization block "Conback Method" ■ The Conback Method can be used for disaster recovery work in narrow sites. ■ A wire mesh panel made of zinc-coated iron wire, processed into a U-shape, is assembled on-site into a box shape, and a bag made of synthetic fiber sheet is set inside. After installation at the construction site, concrete is poured into the bag, forming the on-site cast stabilization block method. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Concrete products wave-dissipating block "Shake Block"

Gentle forms to prevent floods and high tides: environmentally friendly coastal protection products in harmony with the landscape.

This is a wave-dissipating and foundation block designed to pursue superior stability, wave-dissipating properties, constructability, and cost-effectiveness by beveling the edges of each face of a truncated regular tetrahedron and hollowing out the central part of the faces with a flat surface.

Covering and stabilization block "Seacross"

Coated and anchoring blocks with a low center of gravity and excellent stability.

"Sea Cross" is a covering and anchoring block that incorporates the economic and construction aspects into the "Cross Block," which focuses on the growth and proliferation of seaweed and the habitat of aquatic organisms. Even when used in rivers, it has more depressions in the shadowed areas compared to other blocks and stones, making it an excellent habitat for aquatic organisms. Additionally, the sides of the block have significant irregularities, which enhances the effect of reducing water flow. 【Features】 ■ Retains all the characteristics of the conventional "Cross Block" ■ Reduces uplift pressure by creating voids at the bottom of the block ■ Offers excellent stability due to its low center of gravity ■ Economical due to fewer units required per construction area ■ Simple to manufacture and install *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

[Construction Example] Conback Fabrecast Void Filling Construction

We propose a restoration method for the voids in the revetment foundation! It is possible to fill the gaps caused by aging changes.

We would like to introduce a case of "Conback Fabricast Void Filling Construction." In this site, the foundation of the quay wall at the coastal fishing port had been eroded over time, raising concerns about the collapse of the existing quay wall. By applying "Conback" followed by "Fabricast," we were able to carry out restoration work for the eroded areas. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - The areas subject to erosion were underwater, and it was necessary to implement low-cost restoration measures for the erosion, requiring the execution of void filling work through labor-saving construction methods. ■Results - Due to the difficulty of transporting and installing prefabricated stabilization blocks, we constructed on-site stabilization blocks "Conback" by stacking them. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
